Over the past months we have had to cancel much of our programming, due to the restrictive social environment, resulting in revenue losses of more than $55,000. The board members and I have had a series of meetings with some of our vested partners, along with Betsy Lee, to determine a strategy for the ministry in these current circumstances.

We reached the difficult conclusion that Prayer Ventures will need to come to a close on October 1, 2020. We will no longer have programming or any administrative operations that require staffing after that date. However, for a period of time, the non-profit status of Prayer Ventures, Inc. as a 501(c)3 will be preserved in the event that God leads it back into operations at some point. Otherwise, it will be brought to a permanent end.

This decision weighed heavily on us all. We prayerfully sought God’s direction as we explored alternatives but ultimately none were viable. The apostle Paul teaches us to “give thanks in all circumstances.” So, while our hearts are aching, we are also grateful for the privilege to have witnessed the countless, life-changing miracles that God brought to so many people through this ministry.
