What is the greatest gift you can give your kids & grandkids? For many of us it’s our faith—a faith that embodies values such as love, joy and integrity and equips them to lead happy, whole lives. But how to do you pass on your faith so that kids can make it their own?
Research shows that nearly half of young people raised in Christian families walk away from their faith when they graduate from high school. That’s the bad news. The good news: Research also shows that parents are the primary influence on their child’s faith.
Join us for a workshop to learn how to equip and empower your kids to develop a living faith that will last a lifetime—through the power of prayer.
It is never too early or too late to encourage our children’s spiritual growth. This workshop is for parents of toddlers, teens and millenials.
You will learn:
- A simple framework to effectively disciple kids
- How to help kids discover their unique gifts and prepare them to use their gifts for God’s purposes
- What part prayer plays in passing on our faith
- How to teach kids to pray during different ages and stages of life
Chad Hayenga, Associate Director of Connected Families, will lead the workshop. Chad has spent over 17 years ministering to families as a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist, a Certified Life Coach and workshop speaker. He is married and has three daughters—two teens and a young adult. He has helped thousands of parents learn to be more peaceful, purposeful and confident.
There is no charge for the workshop. But a freewill offering will be taken. Come and bring friends!
Note: we’re not able to provide childcare.
